Ethos & Story
Hi, I’m Alyson
Founder of Balanced Her, a mother and certified personal trainer with a passion for women’s health and a specialism in pre & postnatal fitness. I moved to the Herefordshire countryside 3.5 years ago, waving goodbye to 12 years of London living in a bid to create a more balanced life for me and my family. Whilst I have come to the conclusion that balance is not an end point, rather an ever changing juggle of your current needs, nothing makes me feel more at home than helping other women incorporate healthy and nourishing habits into their busy lifestyles.
I work with women of all ages and abilities to help them create long lasting habits when it comes to exercise and health. I am passionate about the physical and mental benefits of incorporating movement into your daily life with a focus not on what you can lose, but what you can gain. I empower women with the knowledge, tools and confidence they need to be able to move in ways that they will enjoy and are therefore more likely to keep up.

International Women’s Day 2024
Fundraiser Classes
For the second year running, I am delighted to be taking part in the
GREAT INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY MOVEMENT CHALLENGE
on Saturday 9th March in support of the wonderful THE MOVEMENT charity.
I will be hosting two fundraising classes that day at 8.30am and 10am. Both classes are FREE with the option to donate what you can to The Movement Charity who are working hard to restore every woman's right to exercise.
The Movement Charity partner with a number of charities across the country to provide trauma informed exercise opportunities for women who have experienced multiple disadvantages and may not have easy access to work out.

What We Offer
Personal Training
Alyson offers personal training in which she designs bespoke programmes based around you, your goals, your lifestyle and your experience. These take into account some of the major milestones of being a woman, whether that is training around fertility, your menstrual cycle, during pregnancy, post natally, whilst you are permi menopausal or post menopause into your senior years. Whatever journey you are on, your personal training programme will be just that- PERSONAL.
Group Classes
We run a weekly programme of small group sessions for those who enjoy the social side of exercise. Our community is an inclusive, positive and encouraging one which YOU are very welcome to join.
The Garden Studio
Most of our sessions are run from the Garden Studio based in Bartestree, HR1. Worlds away from a crowded, sweaty, dark gym, the Garden Studio is private, peaceful, fresh and alive. Just how we want to feel whilst exercising.
And because the Garden Studio isn’t only for exercise, we also run special events.
From celebratory evening soirees to educational workshops, our community is all about growing together and nurturing the mind and the soul as well as the body.
Bringing The Outside In
Whilst being surrounded by nature is at the core of our sessions, some classes are better suited to a little more shelter & warmth than the Garden Studio provides. You will therefore find that some classes are held in private indoor spaces in & around Herefordshire, which have been hand selected for their natural light, beauty & welcoming feel.
